Warrior Talent Guide

Here is an overview of what talents to use as you level your Warrior along with some level 70 talent builds. The best guide to playing a Warrior I've found is at Killer Guides. You can always make your Warrior better by getting a lot of gold and buying the best gear, to do that I strongly recommend using Valkor's Gold Guide for farming massive amounts of gold.

Overview

The Warrior is known for its ability to tank. It can shrug off some of the most punishing melee blows in the game. The high amount of hit points a Warrior usually has allows it to tank well against both melee and caster enemies but they truly shine on raid bosses where there is almost no substitute. They have shouts that can increase their allies damage output and they have abilities that can ensnare, interrupt, or stun their enemies. With the recent game changes Warriors are becoming in essence, a rogue in plate armor. The Fury Warrior can put out a very consistent amount of damage per second (dps) that will oftentimes top the raid dps charts in long fights.

Leveling a Warrior

If you really want to blaze through the levels check out either Brian Kopp's 1-70 Guide (Alliance) or Joana's 1-70 Guide (Horde)

The fastest way to level a Warrior is to dual wield with a Fury build. Once the Warrior is high enough level to get charge, all that is needed is an area with enemies spaced close enough so that when one battle ends the Warrior can immediately charge into the next fight. Repeat this process until the desired level is reached. Warriors are capable of putting out a large amount of damage and can take incoming damage like a pro, but if the Warrior is not dual wielding or at least using a 2 handed weapon, the killing will be slow.

Arms Tree

The first thing you'll want for your Arms Warrior is Cruelty. Until you're level 20 you will want to grab the best two-handed weapon you can find. Once you reach level 20 you can pick up two weapons and duel wield but I would recommend following the Fury tree below if you intend to do this.

Level Skill
10-14 Cruelty
15-17 Heroic Strike
18-19 Improved Rend
20-21 Improved Charge
22 Improved Rend
23-24 Deflection
25-26 Improved Overpower
27-29 Deep Wounds
30-31 Impale

Fury

These talents will set you up for being able to duel wield when you reach level 20. Make sure when you hit level 20 you already have your weapons ready so you can head to the trainer and learn Duel Wielding.

Level Skill
10-14 Cruelty
15-19 Unbridled Wrath
20 Piercing Howl
21-25 Improved Battle Shout
26-30 Duel Wield Spec
31 Deathwish
