Leveling Skinning from 1-450 is pretty simple, however it definitely helps to have all the locations mapped out before you get started. In this Skinning tutorial I take a different approach. I'm under the assumption you're already a level 60+, and it doesn't matter if you're Horde or Alliance (except at low levels). If you're not level 60 you should just level Skinning as you level your character. Say, you're level 30, then you should follow this guide to up level 150.

Horde Skinning (Starting in Orgrimmar)

• South Durotar - Mottled Boars and Scorpids (1-25)
• North Durotar - Boars and Scorpids (25-50)
• The Barrens Crossroads area - Plainstriders and Prowlers (50-100)
• The Barrens Camp Taurajo area - Stormsnouts and Thunderhawks (100-130)
• Thousand Needles - Hyenas, Lions, Wyvern and Thunderhawks (130-170)
• Thousand Needles Shimmering Flats - Turtles and Basilisks in (170-180)

Alliance Skinning (Starting in Ironforge)

• Dun Morogh South of Kharanos - Crag Boats and Wendigos (1-25)
• Dun Morogh Brenwall Village - Wolves (25-50)
• Westfall Sentinel Hill - Goretusks (50-100)
• Wetlands Bluegill Marsh - Crocolisks and Raptors (100-130)
• Hillsbrad Foothills - Bears and Mountain Lions (130-150)
• Hillsbrad Foothills Yeti Cave in Hillsbrad Fields - Yetis (150-170)
• Arathi Highlands - Raptors in (170-180)

Horde & Alliance Skinning

• Stranglethorn Vale Nessingwary's Camp - Raptors, Panthers and Tigers (180-220)
• Stranglethorn Vale Gurabashi Arena area - Raptors and Gorillas (220-250)
• Azshara - Stags and Hippogryphs (250-270)
• Azshara - Turtles and Chimera (270-300)
• Hellfire Peninsula - Helboars (300-310)
• Hellfire Peninsula - Ravagers and Helboars (310-330)
• Nagrand - Clefthoofs, Talbuks, Windrocs and Elekk (330-350)
• Netherstorm - Crocolisks, Basilisks, Mana Invaders, Talbuks, Phase Hunters, Mana Snappers, Nether Rays and Lynx (350-375)
• Howling Fjord - Rams and Shoveltusks (350-405)
• Grizzly Hills - Prowlers, Bears, Mustangs and Serpents (405-430)
• Sholazar Basin - Wasps, Shattertusks, Rhinos, Dreadsabers, Cobras, Goretalons, Grazers and Crocolisks (430-450)

The above directions should provide you with a general guideline of where to level your Skinning. Skinning isn't a very hard profession to skill up but it can be a big money maker if you sell the goods in the auction house.
