World of Warcraft Alchemy Guide

This is a World of Warcraft Alchemy Guide. Alchemy is a profession that takes a lot of patience to collect herbs or a lot of gold to buy herbs and materials to create your potions. Click here to figure out how to get a lot of gold to help you on your path to be an awesome alchemist.

Alchemy is a very fun profession to max out. Alchemy potions are in high demand for all sorts of PvP and raid content. When you can simply collect herbs and craft your favorite buffs for raids you'll be a lot happier than when you had to depend on Joblowmomma to deliver you your Fire pots or Elixirs of the Mongoose. You can also sell these pots on the Auction House to get gold for other phat loots.

Here are the minimal and expected requirements for power leveling Alchemy to 375 in 1 sitting. Actually there are a few traveling steps at the end you'll want to do first if you actually want to power level your Alchemy from 1-375 in 1 sitting. Anyways here are the materials minimum & recommended:

• 60 Peacebloom
• 60 Silverleaf
• 15-20 Mageroyal
• 80-90 Briarthorn
• 40-50 Stranglekelp
• 30-35 Bruiseweed
• 5-10 Wild Steelbloom
• 30-40 Kingsblood
• 30-40 Liferoot
• 45-50 Goldthorn
• 15-20 Khadgar's Whisker
• 60-70 Sungrass
• 30-35 Blindweed
• 20-25 Arthas' Tears
• 40-60 Golden Sansam
• 20-30 Mountain Silversage

You'll probably want to send all these materials to the character that will be doing alchemy from an Auction House alt that grabbed them off the AH (Since you probably don't have the invetory space). I always recommend buying large quantities of alchemy materials over a long period of time to save gold. Once you've got them follow the following steps. When it says "You should be level X" if you're not level X repeat the previous step until you are. If you have the recommended alchemy materials you shouldn't need to return to the Auction House for more.

Apprentice Alchemy

• Train Apprentice Alchemy
• Create 60 Minor Healing Potions from 60 Peacebloom, 60 Silverleaf and 60 Empty Vials
• Your skill should be at least 55

Journeyman Alchemy

• Train Journeyman Alchemy (Character level 10 required)
• Learn Lesser Healing Potion
• Create 60 Lesser Healing Potions from 60 Minor Healing Potions and 60 Briathorn
• Your skill should be at least 110
• Learn Healing Potion
• Create 30 Healing Potions from 30 Bruiseweed, 30 Briarthorn and 30 Leaded Vials
• Your skill should be at least 140

Expert Alchemy

• Train Expert Alchemy (Character level 20 required)
• Learn Lesser Mana Potion
• Create 15 Lesser Mana Potions from 15 Mageroyal, 15 Stranglekelp and 15 Empty Vials
• Your skill should be at least 155
• Learn Greater Healer Potion
• Create 30 Greater Healing Potions from 30 Liferoot, 30 Kingsblood and 30 Leaded Vials
• Your skill should be at least 185
• Learn Elixir of Agility
• Create 25 Elixier of Agility from 15 Stranglekelp, 25 Goldthorn and 25 Leaded Vials
• Your skill should be at least 210

Artisan Alchemy

• Train Artisan Alchemy (Character level 35 required)
• Learn Elixir of Greater Defense
• Create 5 Elixirs of Greater Defense from 5 Wild Steelbloom, 5 Goldthorn and 5 Leaded Vials
• Your skill should be at least 215
• Learn Superior Healing Potion
• Create 15 Superior Healing Potions from 15 Sungrass, 15 Khadgar's Whiskers and 15 Crystal Vials
• Your skill should be at least 230
• Learn Elixir of Detect Undead
• Create 20 Elixirs of Detect Undead from 20 Arthas' Tears and 20 Crystal Vials
• Your skill should be at least 250
• Learn Elixir of Greater Agility
• Create 15 Elixir of Greater Agilities from 15 Sungrass, 15 Goldthorn and 15 Crystal Vials
• Your skill should be at least 265
• Travel to Algernon in the Undercity (HORDE) or Ulthir in Darnassus (ALLIANCE) to purchase and learn Recipe: Superior Mana Potion.
• Create 15 Superior Mana Potions from 30 Sungrass, 30 Blindweed and 15 Crystal Vials
• Your skill should be at least 280
• Travel to Evie Whirlbrew (HORDE & ALLIANCE) in Everlook to purchase and learn Recipe: Major Healing Potion
• Create 20 Major Healing Potions from 40 GOlden Sansam, 20 Mountain SIlversage and 20 Crystal Vials
• Congratulations! You should be level 300!

Master Alchemy

• 315-330
  Here you will make 20 Sneaking Potions
  - 2 Ragveil + 1 Felweed + 1 Imbued Vial
• 330-350
  Here you will make 20 Super Healing Potions
  - 2 Netherbloom + 1 Felweed + 1 Imbued Vial
• 350-375
  here you will make 40 Major Dreamless Sleep Potions you can by it from
  Leeli Longhaggle in Allerian Stronghold if you are Alliance and from
  Daga Ramba in Thunderlord Stronghold if you are Horde
  - 1 Dreaming Glory + 1 Nightmare Vine + 1 Imbued Vial
