It was recently announced that Hayden Hawke, the maker of the Secret Gold Guide, has created a brand new guide, this time a leveling guide. I've taken the opportunity to review this guide and will fill you in on what it is and why it's different from other leveling guides.

First off the guide is not a questing leveling guide and comes with no in-game addon. This might be a downer for some people out there but Hayden explains that these aren't the fastest way to level and you can always get free addons that do almost the same job as the leveling guides that come with them, and for FREE.

So now that you know the guide isn't an addon based questing guide I'll tell you what it is. The guide comes with AoE, solo, power leveling, and questing sections and you can basically pick which you use to get to 80, even mix and matching along the way. In addition to these sections there's a compilation of a bunch of really helpful information to prepare you for leveling.

All in all I think this guide is a breath of fresh air as it presents a unique and more importantly fun way to level to 80 fast.

Patch 3.3.3 debuted today with a few changes to the professions. I have pasted them below for your convenience.

Professions

Runed Orbs: Recipes which require this item have had their material requirements significantly reduced.

Engineering
The Pet Bombling and Lil' Smoky non-combat pets are no longer Bind-on-Pickup.

Fishing
The "Monsterbelly Appetite" daily fishing quest has changed so it now takes place outside the Violet Hold in Dalaran. The quest still requires a Severed Arm and has been renamed to "Disarmed!"

Inscription
Most recipes that required 2 inks now only require 1.

Mining
Titansteel Bar: Creating this item no longer results in a cooldown. If this ability is on cooldown when the patch is applied, players must wait for the cooldown to expire naturally before it is permanently removed.

Tailoring
Glacial Bag: Creating this item now invokes a 7-day cooldown.
The cooldown and location requirements have been removed from creating Moonshroud, Spellweave and Ebonweave. If any of these abilities are on cooldown when the patch is applied, players must wait for the cooldowns to expire naturally before they are permanently removed.

There's a new gold product on the market, WoW Schools Reaching Gold Cap Course. This course teaches you how to reach gold cap in only 7 lessons.

I usually don't pay much attention or give much hype to new products until I've had a chance to see how well they actually work and how worthwhile they actually are. Usually this takes me some time to determine, but with this course I was able to see immediately that it was very original and extremely useful right away.

I found it very intriguing that this was not a gold guide, but being sold as a course instead. There are sooo many gold guides out there and it is very refreshing to see a course that is well structured and very useful. This is not like gold guides, this is actually a program that really teaches you what you need to know to reach gold cap.
